Hypnotherapy Sessions

All sessions require an initial consultation before hypnotherapy sessions can take place.

Here, you can find out about the types of sessions we offer at Mind of Mine. When you’re ready to book, please use the button in the menu.

Initial consultation

£40 – 1 hour

The initial consultation is the perfect opportunity to see if I am the right therapist for you and to make sure you feel completely comfortable and informed about what to expect in future sessions.

It’s an important part of our work together because it gives us a chance to talk about why you are considering hypnotherapy, explore your goals and expectations, and get to know each other. This helps us create a relaxed, supportive space where we can work together effectively and comfortably.

Are online hypnotherapy sessions as productive as face to face?

Online vs Face to Face Hypnotherapy

During lockdown, many of us spent more time online, and remote services, including therapy, became a normal part of life. With more people working from home and having flexible schedules, online therapy has become a convenient option for many. But it’s natural to wonder: does it work as well as face to face sessions? I asked myself the same question when I first started offering hypnotherapy online, especially after being solely face to face in my clinic prior.

What the research says
Studies show that online hypnotherapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions. For example, a 2018 study on online hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome found no difference between clients receiving sessions online versus in person. Participants not only experienced reduced anxiety and improved mood but also reported a better quality of life.

Another study, conducted with the Northumbria Police Force using solution-focused hypnotherapy online, involved participants mainly experiencing anxiety and depression. After 8–12 virtual sessions, all participants reported improved mental wellbeing, and most did not require further support.

Client Experiences

Many of my clients have found that online sessions are just as effective as face to face. Here is what a couple of them had to say:

“I was nervous about online sessions at first, but I felt completely at ease in my own home. The sessions were just as powerful as if I had been in the clinic, and I could fit them around my busy schedule.”

Choosing the right option for you

Ultimately, whether you choose face-to-face or online comes down to personal preference. Some things to consider:

  • Do you build rapport better in person or over a screen?

  • Would you feel more relaxed at home or in a clinic?

  • Are you comfortable with technology, or does it feel stressful?

  • Would travelling to a clinic add strain to your day?

  • Where can you take the most dedicated time for yourself?

I hope these points help you feel more confident in your decision and reassure you that both options are effective and there are amazing therapists offering a face to face service. The most important thing is choosing the option that makes you feel comfortable and supported.
